Mojarto presents a brief video of Kenji Chai’s work title “The Guardian of Nature” for Varanasi Arts project. A guardian is a person who guards, protects and preserves. Kenji wanted to depict such a figure, who is here to guard nature from being polluted by humans everyday. This Guardian is keeping an eye on the vast land of the river Ganga that gives life to millions of people. Eventually, it is for us to understand that the Guardian lives within each of us and it is our responsibility to protect mother nature. Kenji hails from Malaysia and was bred on comics, cartoons and storybooks from an early age. His works includes the use of vibrant characters with his main medium being graffiti. He takes inspiration from nature, animals and something positive. To spread positivity he alsodraws his signature dog around the places he visits. Do visit Bundi Par Kota Ghat if you are in Varanasi to see the works and if not, here on video!
